Greetings from Iowa! I found your post of 8/1 as I was sorting through the last couple of weeks of e-mail and wondered if there might be a connection between your Burns ancestors and mine. I don't know of any of my line being in Texas but a couple of the names caught my eye. My great-great grandmother was Malinda Burns and I know she had one son whose name was William. Her daughter Nancy Jane was my great grandmother. Most of the family we know about were in southeatern Kentucky and we think they may have come to Kentucky from North/South Carolina. This is not the easiest name to trace so I would love to hear from you if you think there might be some connections between your Burns ancestors and mine.
