I'm trying to track down the parents of Michael Burns b.30 Jul 1776 Ireland or any tips on how to locate his birth place. Some sources have father as Private James Burns of the 7th Company of the 2nd Battalion, 84th Regt or of Private John Burns of the 9th Company of the 2nd Battalion, 84th Regt. The could be New Brunswick connections. He married Eleanor Frizzel in 1805 in Windsor, NS. Their children were listed as belonging to the Church of England. Any information would be appreciated.
