According to my information Capt Ignatius Burns b. in 1731 in St. Mary's Co., Md. married Eleanor Posey born in 1732 in St. Mary's Co. Md. One of their children, Enoch Burns b. 1768 in Loudoun Co. Va. d. 1843 in Montgomery Co. Ky. Enoch married Susanna Rice b. 1773, died 1843. However, I have a discrepancy as to where Susanna Rice was born. Bill, here is the information I have: Children of Ignatius Burns and Eleanor Posey are: (1) Ignatius Burns II, b. abt. 1758; m. Elizabeth Posey, 1779, Loudoun Co., Virginia abt. 1760. (2) James Burns, b. abt. 1760, Loudoun Co., Va. (3) Laughlin Burns, b. abt. 1761, (4) Nathan Burns, b. abt. 1763, (5) Simon Burns, b. abt 1766 That information is from the "Burns Family Chronicle" co-authored by Dennis Burns.
