    3. Did you ever get your 'home p/c" working??? Nothing new here, some rain, not much. Everyone around us is flooding out, etc., but not us. We just had a really good rain for 2 hrs. which we needed. I had called Debbie Sat., was Norms birthday, but she was crying so hard I told her I'd call back - after I kept asking if I should come up, whats going on, etc. etc., like panicsville! She said Norm and Haylee were out in the front pasture burying her horse - the one she rode in the shows!!!! So I called Sun. and she said they had had a really bad storm on Fri., but just before that, Haylee and her boyfriend went out to the car for something and they heard this pop, looked around and a bolt of lightening hit Harbor, the horse, killed him NOW, and knocked the donkey backwards. Then the storm hit along with hail and wind. So Sat. the boyfriend drove a big back hoe down there and that's what they were doing when I called, dug a big hole and buried him. Nooo, not the boyfriend. I kept worrying about her all night - Carol, she is out there with all those animals every day, loving and kissing on them, and talking to them so it is like a kid when something happens to them. Well, Mon. I got up and decided I was going up there because Haylee would be back in school and Norm at work. Before I got on the porch, she is running out and throwing her arms around me and crying all over again. "Soooo, glad you came up, I kept telling them yesterday I wanted my mommy" (yeahhh, I can belive that!) Said she had decided to come down here the next day. But I guess it helped that I did go up, I know it helped ME. Norm said both back hooves on the horse were burnt black. Well, one good thing came of it, he was insured! When you pay $2-3,000 for one they'd better be insured. Chester, the donkey, seemed O.K., but Debbie said neither one of them had moved since the horse was struck - they stood right next to him and even when they were burying him. Well, when I drove up the lane, they were both standing by the mound. Do you think they know what happened, I mean that he is dead? Weird. So that's the highlight of my MONTH. Mick. P.S. Yes, that picture was U.Scott standing in that big ole field - do you suppose THAT was the HOUSE they lived in??
