Shannon, Is your grandfather's first name Frank? I don't recall any "Frank" in the family but that's not to say there wasn't. I can send you the names of John Burns' children, if you'd like. Fortunately (in a way) not too many of his sons had sons, that I know of, which makes them easier to eliminate as prospective ancestors. John was married twice, first to Mary Bailey (Ohio 1832 or 34) they had one son Robert, Mary died and John married Elizabeth Weed--they had the slew of kids, all born in Illinois except Miranda and William (who died when he was 8 years old.).
