I am looking for parents of my great-great grandfather (Green Burns) who was from Wayne CO, TN which is next to Perry CO. He had a brother columbus. They both married sisters. I was wondering if these names ring a bell with you since your family was Perry CO. I have find where some of Green' s son spelled their last name as BURNES. Hi Cheryl , This may not be what you are looking for but this is some info that I have. "William Burns, born about 1810, died about 1865, married Jana Cotton, Dec. 4th 1845, in Rutherford County TN. After William's death in 1865 Jana and her family moved to Humphrey County, TN. William and Jana had THREE KNOWN CHILDREN, William Burns b. 1846; Green Burns b. 1847 and Mary Burns b. 1849". That is all I have on this family. No mention of Columbus Burns but could he have been an UNKNOWN child of William and Jana?
