Hi, I'm new to this list & hope I'm posting in the correct manner. I am looking for any information I can find on my Burns family line. I've only just begun my research but keep hitting deadends & am hoping some of you may be able to help me. My name is Judy Cox(Shifflett) . My grandmother was Martha Jane Burns ,born 3-4-1900 in Taneyville Missouri. Her parents were Louisa Hamons & John Eugene Burns. There were other children but I have no information on them. Martha's parents died & she was raised by the Snow family, probably either Jim or Mattie. Martha married James Harvey Shifflett in 1924. They lived in Oklahoma some but settled in Abilene Texas where she died in 1987. As I stated earlier any information you might have be be greatly appreciated. Judy Cox
