Marcia: Were you directing this to anyone in particular or just anyone with Burns in Ill.???? Marilyn - Fla. I apologize for the confusion--the BURNS-L e-mail address was listed under one of the Burns Surname Registry entries at Ancestry.com. I didn't even notice the address when I sent the mail, as it was listed as a person's name on the registry. I will have to check who it was or why it went to the list. Again, I apologize for the confusion (mine and everyone elses.) My BURNS connection is from Kane County, Illinois (Hampshire) where John B. Burns II settled, in 1843, with his wife Elizabeth (Weed) Burns. They came to Illinois from Ashtabula County, Ohio. They had 14 children, many of whom remained in the Kane County area. Would love to connect with any descendants.
