    3. Hi Mike: Your response to Marcia caught my curiosity - too many familiar names - here is what I have: John Burns b. 1820, Ireland >US abt. 1832-35 m. Mary Ann Kelly 1848-1850 PA. I don't know his parents or where in Ireland he was from altho' Mary Ann was from Shannon, Ireland. But a gentleman on this site mentioned alot of the Irish came into Quebec, some stayed other migrated south so am not sure just WHEN John came to the states - if he was in Canada first and then down or what. I first found them in the 1850 census in Monroe Co., Coolbaugh Twp., PA with an infant son b. 1850. But these are the names of John & Marys children: Francis (Franklin) b. 1850 PA Peter b. 1852 PA John Kelly Burns b. 1854 Ill. (my g..grandfather) Thomas b. 1856 Ill. ??? b. 1858 Ill Margaret (Maggie) b. 1860 Ill. Have been looking for a Franklin/Francis or Peter as maybe Johns fathers name - if they named the 1st son after the grandfather - or Peter. Could be Mary Anns father was Peter? I haven't seen a Francis or Franklin mentioned often so when I do it grabs me! Marilyn - Fla.
