Thought someone might be looking for this BURNS. Last night while searching for my BURNS folks I found this in Northumberland Pa. "On May 28,1890 Mr. Conrad married Delia A. BURNS, daughter of Dennis & Kate (Kramer) BURNS, of Boise City Idaho." I am looking for these BURNS folks. Michael BURNS born 1838, Port Carbon Pa. m. Ellen CONNELLY 1863 in Ashland Pa.( Schuylkill Co.) died 1891 in Ashley Pa.( Luzerne Co.) I believe Michaels father was Patrick BURNS born in Belfast Ireland and immigrated to Pottsville Pa. 1830-1850. Wife named Ann, daughter Mary Ann, son Michael, ( my great grandfather) and nephew John.. If anyone has a connection, please contact me. Blessings, Ellen

Hello! I descend from two Burns lines. One is that of William John Burns born in Ireland in 1810 of Scottish parents, migrated to America, married Mary Hutchison in Illinois or Ky. about 1829,had children in Tazewell Co.Illinois and in Grant Co.Ky.,and then in 1840 he and the four sons showed up in Mo. without Mary. William John later married Nancy Sanders McQuillan.Location-Benton,Morgan,Franklin counties of Mo. The other line is that of William and Julia Worden Burns who were married in 1864 in LaSalle Co.Illinois.One or both may have been Cherokee, perhaps born on The Trail of Tears. They had two sons in Illinois and then settled in Mo. and had two more children. My grandfather was their son Delbert Elijah Burns born in Illinois (1867-1930). As a widow Julia froze to death in the old jail in Warsaw Missouri awaiting trial for killing a squatter. Related names:Sanders,Sumners,Allen,Braden,Campbell,Morris,Berry,Hutchison,Jefferies. Thank you for any help!!Pat . Pat Ralston
Sorry for the multiple-multiple posts. I got trigger happy. I've lost my address book and I dearly treasure being able to correspond with my cousins, near and distant. So, if we have traded info in the past or maybe just have a possible link, please send me a note that I may keep you on file. Please include the line we connect to, to jog my memories. I've also lost all my saved emails that I thought were supposed to be store up there in microsoftland, if any of you know how to retrieve such things please let me know. Thank you all for being patient, Lisa Wells [email protected]

NYE/VAN VLECK family Bible These are my wife's lines. The other surname lists included here are spouses of one of these lines. We have ended up with this family's Bible. It is very large and beautifully illustrated with several pages of marriages, births, deaths, etc recorded in the flowing script of the times. Unfortunately it is also beginning to fall apart. For Christmas I scanned all the front pages of this Bible and put them on a CD. I also made printed copies for all my wife's siblings. These are high-resolution 24 bit color TIF images so you can print the pages full size (8-1/2 x 11") and not loose a thing. They are actually better than having the real pages because you can zoom in and read things more easily. Unfortunately they are much too big to email (for most folks, anyway) - 12 pages at 6 MBytes each! I would like for anybody who is related to this line to have a copy of the CD. If only a few requests turn up then I will be happy to supply then to you at no charge. If you think you are related to this line just drop me an email and describe your links to these folks. I can't promise how quickly I can get it back to you but I will at some time. Is this Hillary someway related to the Burns family, if not I fail to see any humor in it.Yours truly Clyde W. Hello Basil, I am sorry but the dates of your grandfather John doesn't match mine. My John was born Nov. 4, 1788 in either North or South Carolina. The 1850 census said N.C and the 1860 census said SC. I do know he stated he came to TN as a young lad and he married Margaret Wilson in Bedford Co. TN on Oct 12, 1811. All this was in his War of 1812 pension file. He went to MS from 1835 to 1837. He moved with all his children to MO in August 1837. He lived here until his death by the MO Home Guard Sept 1, 1863. Sorry we don't match, Lorene Burns, Noennig
