Note that the battle of Bunker Hill was 1775 in Massachusetts, so even without the correct information from the pension, very unlikely. Samuel's service, per his pension papers was in 1780-1781 in South Carolina. I tend to doubt the "buried with military honors" as well, but who knows. I have contacted both the SAR & DAR chapters in the area of Florence, and neither know where Samuel is buried at. Samuel's pension file is a part of the National Archives series M804, Revolutionary war pension and bounty-land-warrant application files.
