Dear BURNEY, ALLEN, BARNETT, and HANCOCK List: Re: men named Shadrack, Jeremiah and Hardy in those surnames For quite sometime now I have been researching BARNETT lineage for my husband's 3rd great grandfather, Shadrack BARNETT, born: 1826 in ?/poss. Carroll County, Georgia where he lived and died, and just now on Mic BARNETTE's DNA testing for BARNETT, (and variations of the name,) I found information about a man who was named Shadrack BURNEY who was in Greene County, Georgia in 1790 and found that many who had lived in Greene County, Georgia then later lived in Carroll County. In addition, this Shadrack BURNEY and brothers, Jeremiah BURNEY, and Hardy BURNEY, and other siblings had lived with their parents in Greene County, North Carolina, which may indicate a connection with the name GREENE in NC and GA. In addition, there is a relationship to families of the name of ALLEN and HANCOCVK that were in Greene County, North Carolina as well that had the same given names of Shadrack and Hardy. Is there anyone that might be able to assist with whether or not this Shadrack BURNEY might, indeed, be the ancestor of my Shadrack BARNETT who later married Ann/Martha "Ann" FIELDER. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Vaya Con Dios, Bellinda Myrick-Barnett " Heb Dduw heb ddim . Dduw a digon."
