Burney was who was killed by Thomas Bassett's slave Bob in 1814 in Washington Co, AL ( at that time it was a part of the Mississippi Territory)? The slave was tried, condemned, escaped recaptured and hanged in 1815. I am interested in this from a historical standpoint. Sue M.
