Julia BURNEY, my gggrandmother (b. Sept. 20, 1814, Gosport, Hants, UK d. January 21, 1904, Southsea, Hants, UK) She was the daughter of William BURNEY (b. 1762, Scotland as McBURNIE d. February 20, 1832, Gosport, Hants, UK), founder of Burney's Academy and the Naval Academy, Gosport and Selina Louisa CLOSSON (d. February 19, 1847, Gosport?). Julia BURNEY married Henry POOLE October 15, 1839 at Graham's Town, South Africa. I look forward to hearing from anyone with knowledge of this family. Regards, Margaret
