Surnames: Burn/Tate Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/FlG.2ACEB/81 Message Board Post: I am trying to find out if this is the correct birthname of my ancestor. My g-g-g grandmother, Ann,(born @ 1794) was married to William Tate (born 1792). An Ann Burn married a William Tate in in Longframlington, Northumberland, England on 21 March 1822. Could this be the right Ann? My Ann and William had a son named Ralph William, who was born in 1822. Other children, but not verified are: Isabella Tate, Thomas Tate, Jane Tate, John Tate, Elizabeth Tate. They would all be younger than Ralph William. Does this match with anyone's family? Thanks for your help!

    3. I don't have a definite answer for you, but I suspect we may have a link. My g-g-g-g-grandfather, Joseph BURN married Barbara TATE Jun 6, 1790 in Felton, Northumberland. Additionally, Joseph's first cousin, William BURN had a daughter, Ann who was baptized Nov 28, 1790 in Netherwitton, Northumberland. If you are familiar with the area, or look at a map of Northumberland, you will see that Longframlington, Felton and Netherwitton are all very close to each other. I do have a fairly extensive family tree built for this family, going back to Peter BURNE born c. 1690 in Longframlington and am also in touch with several other members of the family. Let me know if you think there's a connection, and I'll be happy to provide you with what I have and to put you in touch with the others. Best Regards Derek Derek S.
