Jenny Did your Cave family originate in the Gillingham area of Dorset? My husband's Cave ancestor was Joseph. Have you had contact with the Cave Family History Society. They have mountains of info on the Cave family and may be able to slot you right into one of the branches. I have not done much research recently having spent most of last year in France and this year dealing with health issues but am still most interested.
