These were very tough pioneers, settling in Texas was not easy. They were and are still a proud people, when I look over my tree, they stand out the most. I would love to talk to you. There also was a Clarence Burns, that was my Grandfathers first cousin.

    2. This family is much later than our first, so I'm no help. Absalom Burn appeared in South Carolina, USA, in 1804 and we know all his descendants. Wish I could help. susanne

He also had other children but have no information on them. William Burn (eldest son of Samuel). He married Margaret Puckrin on 3-22-1882 at St Mary's Parish. As of 1917, he retired and living in Whitby. They had 3 daughters and 1 son. On 9-29-1873 he enlisted in the 9th Lancers, at that time was stationed in York. Looking for any information on his brothers/sisters and children. Also a Hilda (Burn)??? from Newcaste.
