Longmont Ledger (Longmont, Boulder County) Nov 24, 1922 SMEJHAL (I believe in error)-BURKEY-- At the Catholic church, Wednesday morning, November 21, 1922, Joseph Smejkal and Miss Bertha Burkey, Father Nicholas officiating. At nie o'clock Wednesday morning a very pretty wedding was solemnized at the Catholic church before a large party of relatives and friends. The bride, Miss Bertha Burkey, was attired in a suit of dark blue and carried bride's roses. She was attended by Miss Catherin Cavey, Mr. Joe Bley acted as best man. Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to about forty guests at the home of bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Burkey.
