My particular branch seem to have originated in Eire in the 1880's (Great Grandfather) but they were prolific breeders and they seem to have got everywhere both UK and abroad. If its any help, my Great Grandfather was one Jack Burkey who Married Julia Frances Cecila Sims Circa 1923 ish. He had siblings called (I believe,)Margaret,Elizabeth,and Arthur, and Ms Sims, by all accounts seems to have come from "queenstown" or "Durragh" in Eire.
