Recently I have found some new information about my great grandmother Lorinda Berkey Ott. I have certified copy of the marriage license from the Elkhart Co. Clerk. The license lists her name as Lorinda L. Berkey and the marriage date as 19 April 1866 by Rev. L L Forbes. This confirms the information found in the marriage index found at Genealogy Library.Com. I also have new information from the 1870, 1880 and 1900 Federal Census of Andrew Co. MO. These census records show Lorinda as born in Michigan in May of 1846. Lorinda and George Ott's first born Winfield Scott Ott is shown as born in MI in 1867. The 1900 census of Andrew Co. MO shows Lorinda's father as born in VA and her mother was born MD.
