I can trace back to four brothers that were born in various countries in Europe then immigrated to America by the mid 1800's, they are: John Burkey - b 1777 France Andrew Burcky - b 1780 Switzerland Christian Birkey - b about 1790 Germany Valentine Birky - b 1794 in France There were likely other siblings, but not sure. Valentine is my great-great-great-grandfather. I think he was born in France. He married Elizabeth Unzicker in Germany (Bavaria). He died Sept 12, 1860 in Tazewell County, Illinois. Immigrated about 1843 to America probably from Germany. In Illinois, his family was part of the Mennonite/Amish community. Can anyone help me with information on these four brothers?
