    1. ADMIN - Who am I and why am I here?
    2. Dear Listers, When joining a list, new subscribers are asked to post their interests and a little information about themselves. Those of us that have been subscribers for a long time may not have done this. Even if we did, by this time the rest of us will have forgotten. ;-) How about telling us all why you joined the list and your BURKEY interests? Perhaps you could also tell us how the list has helped you with your research and what BURKEY brick walls you need help with. These posts should make interesting reading and, who knows, maybe some of us will find some connections. :-) I look forward to seeing your posts. :-) Best wishes, Lynne List Admin.

Would like to contact that person.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/CmG.2ACIB/90 Message Board Post: First, I'm not on the Burkey-L rootsweb mailing list. Also, I'm not a Burkey family researcher (not on that line yet), but my gggg grandmother was Martha Burkey who married Samuel Mock. Samuel and Martha had a daughter, Amanda Marta Mock. Amanda married Samuel Urich and had a son Robert Raymond Urich who was my grandmother's father. My grandmother's now 93. Anyway, I have some information that I belive was compiled by Robert Raymond Urich's sister, Mabel. The Urich family was from Lebanon County, PA, and Mabel would have known some of her Mock relatives pretty well. However, be aware that this information is NOT documented through research on my part. I don't have dates or more information than this. If you have more information on any of these Burkey's, I would love to have it. Martha Burkey b. 5 Feb 1813, d. 27 Feb 1865, married Samuel Mock (My line) Moses Burkey married Susan Mock (actually her name was Susanna) and they had 7 children: Albert, Thomas, Adam, Emma, Alice, Mary Kleisr?, Henrietta Hetrick) Henry Burkey married Elizabeth Mock and they had 2 children: Rebecca and Henry Jacob Burkey married an Eberly Would love to hear from anyone with information on any of these lines. As I said, I'm not yet researching this line, but I felt that it might be of interest to Burkey researchers and I like to add information about siblings of my ancestors. Laurel
