Karen... What Burke family are you searching? I am trying to trace my great grandmother Ellen Burke, who I believe was born in Vermont. She married my great grandfather Marion S. Foster and they lived in Santa Ynez, California...Santa Barbara County. She was a nurse and was educated in Canada as the story goes. They were a very well known family in the Santa Barbara area.
