    2. Someone's making money off of your posts? So I guess everyone who is complaining has already taken the time to document every post on every mailing list and is more than willing to share every bit of that information 24/7/365. Since you have all the answers, you also are on this and other lists just for the fun of it. Get Real!!!! Okay genealogy.com has copied data from your posts and is selling that information on CD's, if you went out and collected the info like they did you could sell it yourself. Whether it is data you receive from a CD by Genealogy.com or the Church of the Latter Day Saints(they too sell CD's based on copied data) or someone who responses to your post, you STILL have to verify the data to be true. There is no guarantee, that any CD made by Genealogy.com or the Church of the Latter Day Saints contains valid information. Have you ever posted information on a mailing list with all of the best intentions that you now know to be false? It happens all the time, I've done it, I've later tried to correct it, but think about it, if Genealogy.com or the LDS copied the false info and didn't put out revised CD later on then there is a lot of false info out there. I'll look at a CD at a FHC, but I get 90% of my data from other posts or by some good old fashion rooting around. At the same time some of these CD's might save you countless hours and perhaps years of searching, so as long as they aren't charging you the farm for the CD, be thankful for the information and relieved you didn't have to compile it all by yourself.
