On December 21, 1920 Sam married, MCGOWAN, Ida Lee DOB: 23 October 1891 DOD: 15 May 1969 Born and raised on a farm 4 miles north of DeWitt, Arkansas Sam and Ida were married by the Justice of the Peace Squire Ray at the Forks LaGrue community and the ceremony took place in a buggy (?) Ida's parents are listed as: MCGOWAN, A. H. (Bunk) who owned and operated (in DeWitt) the general store on the west side of hte court square where the Cash Way was in 1960.
