BIRKS, 40 year-old white male. He appears a second time on the census on 14 Jul 1870 in Berryville P.O., Carroll Co., AR as John BURK, 50 year-old white male. He died before 1880 in Montague Co., TX since his family is enumerated in the 1880 census as BURKE without him. His first wife died in 1851 in (perhaps) Madison Co., AR. John D. BURKE and his first wife had the following children: 2 i. Mary "Polly" BURKE was born in 1840 in TN. 3 ii. James BURKE was born in 1842 in TN. 4 iii. Lucinda BURKE was born in 1844 in TN. 5 iv. William BURKE was born in 1846 in TN. 6 v. Thursey J. BURKE was born in 1850 in TN. 7 vi. Elizabeth M. BURKE was born in 1851 in AR. He was married to Mary Ann STRINGER on 28 Mar 1852 in Barry Co., MO. Mary Ann STRINGER was born in 1830 in IL. She appeared on the census on 15 Jun 1860 in Madison Co., AR. She appeared on the census on 14 Jul 1870 in Carroll Co., AR. She appeared on the census in 1880 in Montague Co., TX. She appeared on the census in 1910 in Montague Co., TX. John D. BURKE and Mary Ann STRINGER had the following children: 8 i. John Calvin BURKE was born in 1853 in AR. 9 ii. Olive M. BURKE was born in 1854 in AR. 10 iii.
