Born April 18, 1928, in Edon, Ohio, he was the son of Charley Clayton and Nina (Burlew) Burke. He had worked as a truck driver for RH Marlin. He was a regular at the Yoho Store in Solsberry, Indiana. Survivors include his wife, Ina Mae (Shaffer) Burke; his children, Ronnie Burke and his wife, Deanna, of Solsberry, Marilyn West and Saundra Burke, both of Bloomington, and David Burke and his wife, Debra, of Fishers; two sisters, Dorothy Ireland of Angola, Ind., and Elizabeth Cross of Davison, Mich.; eight grandchildren, Brian Burke and Lisa West, both of Bloomington, Becky Kirkpatrick of Terre Haute, Crystal Axson and Lonica Burke, both of Solsberry, Dakota Burke, Dylan Burke and Delaney Burke, all of Fishers; and 13 great-grandchildren.
