Hello, I do hope this is worth taking time to explore. I have saved your message because it hits very close to 'home' & has been nagging me. I am wondering if it is possible that your William Burke & Anna Howe Heiser may have had a son, James , born abt.1755 in Pa. James first appears in various 1780's Pa .tax records & finally the 1790 Northumberland Co,Pa Census. So far we have come up empty handed as to who his parents may be. If the rest of the family moved to Augusta ,Va . in 1774... James may not have followed. James was also a Revolutionary War soldier. His wife's name was Catherine. Interesting too are the family names: William, Anna, Samuel, Edward & Maria ( Mariah).
