I would like to find out if the connection between the Burkes and Philbins (noted in many books and articles) are true. My cousins results although interesting weren't very conclusive. It appears that the Philbins were in Ireland longer that 29 generations. However the closest family matches in the study were to persons with Irish names but 29 generations back. It would be really helpful if more Philbin males added their DNA to the study. http://www.familytreedna.com My brother has submitted his DNA to the National geographic genographic study... that study showed the movement of our ancestors from East Africa to Asia on to Europe and then to Ireland.
