Hello Karen Your Burke connection in Ulster County interested me, as my Burkes we also from Ulster, residing in Kingston. My Burkes were born Ireland about 1820. Emigrated to NYC 1845, residing in Brooklyn until 1850 +/-, then to Kingston where there purchased property, a quarry I believe. My gr.gr.grandfather was Patrick Burke, his siblings, also moving to Kingston, included James, Tobias, Archibald. Patrick (d. 1889) married Martha Curry, and their children incl. Patrick Catherine, Sarah, Mary, James, Rosa and Arthur. Archibald (b. 1829) married Mary and the only known children I have are James, b. Kingston 1856 and Helen b. 1859. Kate I am new to the list and looking for information about William H. Burke who served in the Civil War. I believe he married a Wager (not sure of first name). He was from Ulster County, NY and had at least the following children: William C. Jesse Martha George Emma Elizabeth Anna Any information would be greatly appreciated. Karen in PA
