Hello, Thought I would send what little information I have on my father's family in hopes of helping someone else and maybe locating connections that will help me fill in blanks, lots of blanks My ggrandfather, William Floyd Burks, b. 7/10/1849, not sure where, d. 1/20/1916, Red Oak, Va. Married Lucy William(s) Vaden 4/11/1876 in Pittsylvania VA. My grandfather was a son, Bossie Fitzgerald Burks (Burks later changed to Burke, but his cousins maintained Burks), b. 7/9/1883 not sure where, d. 2/11/1949 in North Carolina. Married Mary Magalene Toombs, b. 10/18/1881, not sure where, d. 11/15/1968 in North Carolina. Bossie moved his family to North Carolina during the depression years. My grandmothers parents were: Thomas Littleberry Toombs and Annie Eliza Jones. I do not have any information on them. If you have connections/information please contact me.
