Hi Margaret Like you I have been researching my ancestors in Ireland for years. All I can tell you there just may, may? be a connection. My gt grandmother in New Zealand was Johanna (h) Linehan or Lenihan and in New Zealand she married Martin Burke whose father was also Patrick Burke farmer from Clare. Other siblings came to NZ from 1878 and also settled In Napier area and they were Patrick Burkeand Mary BURKE There was also a sister who went to America but do not know if she was a Linehan or a Burke and she went to Brooklyn first?
