My g.g.grandfather Thomas Burke ( 1814-1884 ) was a shoemaker who lived in Church Lane, Galway City. His daughter Norah ( 1857-1931 ) was living in Abbeygate Street, Galway City in 1882, when she married Timothy McHugh at St. Nicholas R.C.Church,which was also in Abbeygate Street.The young couple then moved to Leeds in Yorkshire, England. Thomas died two years later in the hospital attached to the Union Workhouse, again in Galway City.Thomas left a widow, whose name I have not yet been able to discover.I should dearly like to know the name of his widow and the names of their other children, so that I can trace their descendants.
