First 3 children were Sally, Joseph Hudson (mine) and John b in VA, moved to BLOUNT CO., TN where Rachel, William, Emily, Hugh H, and Elizabeth were born. Hello, listers, I have little information about my gggrandfather, Michael Burke, b. 1823 in Ireland, and his brother Jerry. Their father was supposed to have owned a shoe store, and Michael was a miller in Virginia and later in Washington County, Md. The name of the mill was Worley's or Morley's. (The name comes from an old typed memoir with a smudged capital letter.) While Michael married and settled in Greencastle, Franklin Co., PA and then moved to Nebraska with his wife and children, Jerry remained in Maryland. I do not know his wife's name, but he had several children: Mollie, Jerome, and Helen are the only namees I know. Supposedly, one son did very well in real estate in Texas and California, and Burkeville, CA was supposedly named after him.
