I am trying to find information about my Burke family. I have read several of the pieces about Ireland and feel sure that my relatives came from there. I have gotten as far back as my gggrandpa. His name was Bartlette Yancy Burke born 1810 in S. Carolina or Georgia. Married Sarah ?? in GA. I know about two sons. Bartlette Burke,born 1846 in Floyd GA and Benjamine Reese Burke, born March 11 1839 in Floyd GA. Benjamine was my ggrandpa. His son Henry Lafayette is my grandpa. I know about one sister of my grandpa. Sarah Burke born 1860 in DeKalb Alabama. Benjamine's wife was Manerva Catherine James Burke. I know that my grandparents lived in Oklahoma and Arkansas. In my earliest memories they were in Harrisburg Arkansas. . If anyone has a connection that goes farther back I would appreciate the help. Waiting to hear from someone with a link to my family.
