My Burke family. JOHN T BURKE m MARY CARROLL, daughter of Michael and Ann Carroll nee Irwin, in Knockainey, Co. Limerick 28. 7. 1861. They emigrated to Newburgh, Orange County, NY about 1868. They lived at 56, Vaness Street. They had the following children THOMAS b Knockainey 1862, MARY b Knockainey 1864, and ELIZABETH, MICHAEL A, JOSEPH, SARAH and JOHN J. all born Newburgh. Elizabeth married a Michael J Maher in Newburgh and they had 6 children. The only marriage I have regarding the Maher family is an IMELDA MAHER m CHARLES MATHEWS.
