My father, George William Birck and his father, also George Willliam, Sr, lived in Indianapolis, Indiana. My great grandfather owned a hardware store in Richmond, IN (and we believe is buried there)and his father, --- Birck,(first name unknown) owned a blacksmith shop in Madison, IN. We understand they came from a part of Germany close to France.
