The 1800 census for Stokes Co shows Allen Burge with three males under 10. I've taken these to be Larkin, William, and Martin. (Allen had no children shown in 1790.) The 1810 census has one male under 10 and 3 males 10-16. (One of the latter was Larkin, as we know he was in the War of 1812.) In 1820, Allen's household had one male under 10 and one 16-26. (I didn't list Allen in any of the above.) Larkin by then had his own household. Allen was not in the 1830 enumeration. However, Larkin and William were , and Allen may have been living with William. Martin not listed, implying he had moved from the county. Still not sure who the fourth son was. Marv
