Thank you for the information you sent me. I am glad that the cemetery will not be developed or damaged. Louis Burel was my ggggrandfather. There are also Glovers buried I think in that same cemetery. My grandmother was a Glover. There are probably some Roebucks buried there. My Glover grandmother married a Roebuck. I wish I could get over there, but the traffic is so bad I do not drive in it. My town of Newnan is fast becoming another "Gwinnettified" place. Sarah Estes

It will not be sold for commercial use. The land was given by Louis Burel in 1843 and now the land will not be disturbed. Our ancestors can rest in peace.

Louis Burel gave the land to be used as a Cemetery. I don't know much land he gave, but he is buried there and some of his family. The Church is trying to sell some of the land next to che Cemetery and I would like for them to have a 75'buffer. If anyone has any paper showing how much land he gave, please lat me know. Thank You, Jan

Our ancestor Louis Burel gave the land to be used for the cemetery in 1843 at the time his 2 grandaughters died. He and his wife are both buried there.I am very concerned that they will not leave a 75' buffer. If anyone is interested the Gwinnett County Comm. will have a meeting on this issue Tues.Aug.22.If anyone has any information on how much land he gave it would help very much. We need to save our Heritage. Thank you for any help. Jan
