GA. Her parents were Benjamin Washington Patton and Martha Jane Burel b. 1886 d. 1962. Martha's parents were Richard Monroe Burel b. 23 Oct 1854 d. 2 Dec 1927.He married Josephine Cofield. His parents were William Burel b. 1823 d. 1887, he married Nancy Jane Davis. William's parents were Louis Burel and Sarah M. Jenkins. This is as far as I have been able to eek out, and I have no sources other than my mother in law's stories about her family and information gleaned from others published above. When Jefferson moved from the Hog Mountain Georgia area to Talladega County, Alabama, the spelling of the name changed to two "LL"s instead of one. I don't know why.
