I believe the Precilla Kirkland is my grgrgrandmother. Her maiden name is suppose to be Abernathy. I have found no Abernathy information that fits the time frame, so I think that is in error. The Edward Birch , Precilla Kirkland information does fit. The Kirkland families that are listed on the 1880 census are her in-laws. She married David Kirkland son of Stephen L. Kirkland.
