Hello All, I've never given any thought about our Illinois BURCH/HARRELL connection being associated with the NC families, but I'm starting to see even more similarities here. My grandparents were Enoch Arden BURCH (born 1867 in IL) and Anna Marie FUCHS (born 1871 in IL). They married in MO, and had 11 children there, one of which was Margaretta BURCH (born 1901 in MO) who married Rollie HARRELL ( born 1896 in IL). I have a 1922 obituary notice for my grandmother's mother, Phillipina FUCHS, that mentions that her daughter, Anna Marie BURCH is living in NC. I know that my grandparents lived most of their lives in MO, and moved to FL when he retired from the RR about 1924, but have never heard of any NC connection until this. Now John FOX, mentions his BURCH/HARRELL connection in NC. I have no information that any of our FUCHS went to NC from IL, but FOX is a common translation of FUCHS. Does anything look familiar ?? As we haven't been able to determine who Enoch Arden BURCH's parents were, any clues will be greatly appreciated.
