I'm still searching for information on the parents and/or siblings of my 3rd gr grandfather, John C. Burch. He was probably related to some of these North Carolina Burch's. I've located him on the 1850 Randolph Co. AL census but can't find him on any earlier ones. He died in 1858 in Randolph Co. Alabama. Wife was Mary Ann Burroughs (born in NC, 1824). His children were Littleberry (b 1845), James Ceburn (b 1848), Edward Anderson (b 1849), Martha Sousan (1851-1853), and William Thomas (b abt. 1855). If anyone comes across a John Burch born about this time, please let me know! I have descendant information to share. Kathy in California
