What I have on John & Elisabeth came from the Claiborne Co., TN Pioneers, they sent me a file on the Shearmans. John Burch b. abt 1770 married: April 12, 1791 [I got this from the files @ the library in Caswell Co., NC] Elisabeth Shearman b. abt 1773 NC Children: Mary "Polly" b. Apr 23, 1792 VA d. Nov 17, 1872 Tarrant Co., TX m. ca 1817 John Evan Wallis [son of Temperance Shearman and William Wallis]. Temperance and Elisabeth were sisters. "Polly" & John Evans' children were: Lucinda b. 1819, Wm. Houston b. ca 1825, Thomas b. ca 1829. Sarah "Sally" b. 1802 Claiborne Co., TN d. Feb 2, 1849 m. Hardin Cary. Children were: Daniel Harper b. 1827. Lucretia Burch b. ca 1808 John M. Burch, Esq. b. ca 1811 m. Celia "Sallie" Thompson William Burch b. ca 1815 m. Millicant "Milley" Malinda Mayes.
