I don¹t know why I never saw it before.... The MYERS and HARRELLs are infamous for receiving a grandmother¹s maiden name as a middle name, so here¹s my latest thought: Elizabeth T. HARRELL (b.1842 SC), who I know was the granddaughter of Mary Hollingsworth BURCH (b.1799 SC), named her son James Pettigrew MYERS. This lends credence to my theory that Elizabeth¹s parents are not, as I have long thought, James Burch HARRELL (b.1816) and _?_, but Joseph Lewis HARRELL (b.1818) and Mary Ann Elinor PETTIGREW (b.1823 SC)!
