I believe you are saying that records do not exists to support who are the parents of William Burch (1779-1857) of Muskingum County, OH. We do know from the 1850 Census that William Burch reported being born in Maryland. But this is as far as the records take us. However, several Ancestry Family Trees give the parents of William Burch as Thomas Burch and an unknown Clark of Prince George's County, MD. However, these parents are not proven by any records - at least any records that we know about. I believe, if the parents of William Burch can not be rigorously established, the whole issue as to whether Clark was a Delaware Indian becomes a non issue.
