I for one am happy to know of the result of your research as it is a stone I need not now turn. I already have the Benjamin Burch (1753-1830) data from NARA. I also thank you for the information about Lydia Earl which was unknown to me; that is, that she was evidently a thorough family historian. I had wondered how it was that she became involved with research about Thomas Burch. Your attempt to contact Lola Robertson also intrigues me and I wish you success in that endeavor. How is it that you are or may be connected to this Burch lineage? Do you possess a copy of the settlement of Thomas Burch's intestate estate? If not and you desire it, I can provide you with a transcript from my written notes taken taken from: Document No. 3, Deed Book 17, p. 278, Hardy County, (West) Virginia. This document mentions the names of the heirs at law in the matter of the Thomas Burch (deceased) estate.
