I cannot find her parents after a number of years and many hours of research, some done by professional genealogists in MD familiar with the Burch family. The dates you have for Ann Burch would make her eligible to have been a parent of Cassandra, b 1785. Unfortunately, none of the six children of Ann Burch are a Cassandra. So, I eliminate another possibility and move to next one. I certainly apologize for the delay and thank you for your gratious response to my query. Cordially, Francis Keenan

She married my G-Grandfather Abner Gordon Long sometime in early 1880's. They had six children. All born in Nodaway county, Missouri or Page county, Iowa. I have seen one list that has their first child being born in Golconda, Nevada. Abner died in January 1917 and Melissa died in 1946. They are buried in the Schearer Cemetary, Page county, Iowa. Burch married Susan M. Sparks January 6, 1870 in Monroe Co., Ind William was the son of Charles and Jane Oliphant. They were Married July 31, 1834 in Monroe Co Ind. Charles was the son of John L. Burch and Judith Southern. They were married Feb 16, 1802. John L. was the son of William Burch (Sr) and Mary Ann (some say she was a Lawrence). I have never been to Indiana (yet) to see the Burch cemeteries but I understand there are four in the Greene and Monroe counties.
