He and his wife are buried in the old Willcox Cemetery on the plantation then owned by his father-in-law. Dr. Burch's parents were: Littleberry burch who presumably lived in Richmond County, GA in 1811, when he was one of the administrators of the will of his father Charles Burch, Revolutionary Soldier. . . . Littleberry Burch according to records furnished in 1944, by his grandson, (Everette Eugene Burch of Montgomery Co. GA), was married four times. His first wife, whose name was not known by her grandson, was the mother of Dr. William E. Burch. She evidently did not live long, for Littlebery Burch married again, in Richmond County, GA June 21, 1823 Ann Patton or Panton." Hope this helps in your search.

Does anyone know which Burch's Christopher Burch, born abt. 1809 in North Carolina or Virgina belongs to? He states his parents were born in Maryland. I find him first in 1830 in Greene County, Indiana, where his son Simeon is born-less than a year old for that census. In the 1840's he moves to White County, Indiana and in 1860 is in Illinois. By 1870 they are in Minnesota. I believe he had a brother John Burch, who was also in White County in 1850. His first wife may have been Jane Harless or Jane Harler. In 1841 there is a marriage recorded for Christopher Burch and Sarah Jane Ritter. In 1856 he married Mariah Dawson in White County, IN. Children from his first marriage are Simeon Burch 1830, Lydia Burch 1833, Sarah Burch 1835, George W. Burch 1838, Henry Burch 1839. Children with Sarah Jane Ritter are Perry Burch 1847, Christopher Burch Jr. 1848. And children with Mariah Dawson are Daniel W. Burch abt. 1857, Ella Elizabeth 1860, Eliza Burch 1863, John Burch abt. 1865, Frank L. Burch abt 1867. There is also a Mary Ann Burch but I am not sure who her mother is or date of birth. I recently recieved an Email that states Judith Walker was a sister to Sandford Gowin, Jeremiah Gowin and Christopher Burch. She was born in 1794 and married Rev. Richard Wright in Greene County, Indiana in 1834. I'm guessing this is her second marriage and her maiden name was Gowin or Burch, so she is a sister or half sister to Christopher. I also know that a Christopher Burch married Lydia Goodwine in Bullitt County, KY in 1794. The 1810 census shows her as head of household, so I am assuming he died before 1810. It could be they are the parents of my Christopher and Lydia may have remarried. I just don't know how to find the answers to it and hope someone out there recognizes this family.

Hi, One of my lines is the William Henry Burch and Mary Ann Lawrence line. When I was going through a book on Rowan Co. NC looking for someone else, I found a will of a PETER LAWRENCE who died between Jan 1767 and July 1768. He lists his wife Mary, sons Peter, Jonnes and William, and daughters Elizaboth, MARY, Kitrite, Eve and Christian Lawrence. This is the only MARY LAWRENCE that I have found in the records and chances are pretty good that that this is the Mary Lawrence who married William H. Burch in 1768. Rachel
