Belle's parents, James E. and Carrie are buried there (Carrie buried as Carrie E. SPARKS). I had been told that James E. SPARKS' wife's maiden name was ELLIS but have recently found in the Martin Co. IN Marriage Database at Rootsweb that James E. SPARKS married a Carrie (Cary) BURCH on March 28, 1852. Am looking for information both on the BURCH and SPARKS families. The only thing I have on Carrie SPARKS' parents are that they are James SPARKS and a Mary. James is seen in the 1850 Martin County Perry Township census: 148/151 James SPARKS 46 farmer 300 b. Am also interested in hearing from descendants of these BIRCH/SPARKS/MCKINNEY families. I have no photos of any of these families and would dearly love to hear from someone who might have some and could send me some scans. In exchange, I do digital photo retouching and in the case of damaged photos could do retouching. Thanks, Juli

Deacon George W. Cromb died at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. Smith P. Chase, Friday morning, in the 83rd year of his age. He was for many years a member of the Free Will Baptist Church, and for a long time a deacon. He had for some time been suffering from a paralytic shock. He was married to Miss Lydia Sheffield, at Westerly, R.I., 63 years ago last March, and she survives him. The result of this union was 13 childred, five of whom are now living, two sons and three daughters, - Simeon E. and Geo. W. Cromb, Mrs Smith P. Chase, Mrs Hattie Cook and Mrs T. O. Lucas. Mr Cromb had resided in this village for over 35 years and was much respected by all. The funeral will take place at 1 o'clock P.M. There were but six days difference in the ages of Mr Cromb and his wife, and they have lived together longer than any married couple, probably, in Worcester County.
